The Windsor’s central location makes it an ideal place from which to explore this World Heritage Site on foot. The city’s shops, museums and restaurants are within easy walking distances, as are the Roman Baths and the Abbey. You can discover the streets walked by Jane Austen and relax in the Thermae Bath Spa.

For those wishing to venture further afield, Bath also provides an ideal base from which to visit Stonehenge, Cheddar Gorge, Salisbury Cathedral, the Cotswolds and the many historic houses in and around the area.

Chestnuts House has a wonderful location from which to enjoy the historic city of Bath. The house is situated off the main roads and next to Henrietta Park, but it is just a short, level stroll from the city centre, with its many attractions, restaurants and excellent shopping centre.

Private off-street parking is available for guests.

The house boasts 5 excellent en suite guest rooms, some with king-size and wrought iron beds. All of the rooms are bright, comfortable and spacious. Each room has recently been refurbished and all have been tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. The rooms have flat-screen TVs, CD and DVD players, radio/alarm clocks and tea/coffee making facilities.

Cheriton House was built in around 1886. It is now a family-run bed and breakfast and mixes original character and antique furniture with modern comforts.

The en suite rooms have TVs, tea/coffee, chocolates and sweets. Rooms have views of Bath or of the garden.

A traditional English breakfast is available each day and is freshly cooked to order. The light breakfast room looks out over the garden.

Cheriton House is in a quiet street, just off the A367. The Roman Baths are a mile (1.6 km) away and there are regular buses.

The B&B is a 15-to-20-minute walk from Bath city centre, and public transport can be reached in 2 minutes’ walk. The house is set in delightful gardens in a quiet conservation area on the southern slopes of Bath.
